Under Plant Manager guidance, schedules work, assists with employee selection, reviews employee performance, administers work rules and might recommend compensation
Supervises employees engaging in maintenance operations and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization's policies and applicable laws including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Supervise and schedule a team of multi-skilled maintenance technicians
Assign daily work orders and manage emergency repair priorities on the floor
Enforce safety compliance including OSHA standards, LOTO, and PPE requirements
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing technical training to the team
Oversee CNC machinery upkeep including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Execute the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program to optimize machine reliability and minimize downtime
Troubleshoot facility infrastructure including HVAC, air compressors, and electrical distribution
Diagnose root causes of repeat equipment failures to implement lasting fixes
Create and maintain service logs, maintenance logs and issue logs for machinery
Manage spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are always in stock
Coordinate third-party contractors for specialized facility repairs and equipment calibrations
Coordinate new machine installation, unloading and scheduling rigging for machinery
Communicate regularly with other department functions including in-person, via phone, chat, and email and attend meetings pertaining to plant maintenance and safety matters
Frequently inspect facilities to proactively detect potential problems and recommend the necessary repair or maintenance
Oversee and enforce good record-keeping practices (be it pen and paper or CMMS software like Limble)
On call 24 hours for building and machine issues
Recommend upgrades, overhauls, and other changes to major systems and equipment
Local travel will be required frequently to run errands for maintenance related items, with very occasional overnight travel for a conference or new machinery purchase, which requires maintaining a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record

5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
2+ years of direct supervisory or leadership experience
High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical degree or journeyman card preferred
Working knowledge of Google Workspace, with the ability to use functions including email, calendar, chat, documents & sheets (or similar programs)
Strong understanding of CNC machine tools, controls, and automation systems
Schematic proficiency including advanced electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic blueprints
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to lead a team calmly under tight production deadlines
Clear communication skills to bridge technical issues with production management
