The Ishpeming Public School District announces a vacancy for a Middle/High School Principal at the Ishpeming High School.
This is a full-time, at will, non-bargaining unit position.
Candidates must possess a minimum of a M.A. Degree with an emphasis in educational
administration, curriculum, supervision, and related fields is required. Candidates must be able to meet the State of Michigan Department of Education requirements for a valid Secondary Administrator K-12 (ES) Certification. A minimum of three years of teaching experience is required. Administrative and teaching experience at the high school level is desired.

academic excellence, positive school culture, and continuous improvement. They will possess
strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to build meaningful relationships with students, staff, families, and community members, and a proven capacity to lead collaboratively.

Preference may be given to candidates with successful administrative experience at the middle and/or high school level and a demonstrated record of improving student outcomes.
The Board of Education may employ an individual with such alternative qualifications that the
Board may find to be acceptable and appropriate.
