The Manufacturing Launch Cost Lead is responsible for planning and providing Manufacturing volume scenarios for Assembly plants.
These duties include:
Drive continuous improvement by collaborating with the Global Launch Cost team on process and standards
Lead coordination with MCE team to establish North American launch cost for new program initiatives
Facilitate executive-level validation meetings with senior leadership
Champion adoption of new processes by engaging and aligning MCE leads
Orchestrate cross-functional efforts, including Manufacturing Finance, for annual budgeting activities
Conduct launch cost training sessions for teams and stakeholders
Act as the primary point of contact for all North American launch cost inquiries
Develop high-level cost estimates to support make vs. buy decision-making
Creating calendar proposals based on program volume changes, potentially increasing or decreasing
Developing leadership presentations and/or proposals for current year plus one
Working with Supply Chain, MLM, Plant Production, and various other groups to assure proposals and plans are feasible and the most cost-effective way for manufacturing to operate in the current year
End of Month, End of Quarter, and End of Half will be critical to support flexible working hours to assure reports and information are completed on time
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience
General understanding of how an assembly plant operates
Vehicle Status as it moves through Body-in-White (BIW), Paint, General Assembly (GA) and I-status
High skill level in Excel (Google Sheets) and PowerPoint (Google Slides) is required
Creative thinker required to streamline reports and minimize data entry
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes with a focus on Body in White (BIW), Paint, General Assembly, Quality
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office PowerPoint (Google Slides) and Excel (Google Sheets)
Strong organizational/project management skills
Self-Motivated and able to successfully achieve results under time pressure
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, finance or manufacturing related field
Power Bi, Qlik sense, Power Apps
Advanced analytical tools, AI tools
