Job Details

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair small engines, including lawnmowers, backpack blowers, line trimmers, and other outdoor power equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, spark plug replacements, carburetor adjustments, and belt replacements to optimize engine performance.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, other techniques to complete repairs accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs on small engines that involve electrical systems or wiring harnesses.
• Advise customers on repair needs, maintenance advice, and ensuring equipment is services or replaced as needed.
• Handle lifting of equipment parts and engines safely while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings for quality control and warranty purposes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a service technician or mechanic with small engines or related equipment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately.
• Hands-on experience with diesel & gas engine repair, automotive repair, equipment maintenance and repair, and vehicle maintenance.
• Proficiency with electrical systems and the use of hand tools and power tools.
• Soldering and welding techniques are a plus
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate information clearly.

Pay based on experience.
