Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Model Maker specializing in advanced upholstery and sewing to support both production and engineering teams. This role serves as a key instructor and trainer, sharing expertise while developing innovative solutions for complex and atypical assignments. Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing products, including process flow analysis, tooling selection, and labor standard development.
Conduct process qualifications, experiments, and data analysis to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product quality.
Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), and process specifications.
Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with suppliers to improve product quality, resolve manufacturing problems, and conduct initial production approvals.
Utilize advanced metrology equipment and inspection techniques to ensure product quality and conformance to specifications.
Provide technical guidance and training to production personnel on manufacturing processes and quality standards.
Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education: High School or equivalent
Work Experience: 3+ years of experience in upholstery, sewing, and product development
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Applicants must be able to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with embroidery techniques and specialty stitching
Knowledge of pattern making and material layout processes
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot
Demonstrated experience as a trainer or instructor, with the ability to effectively transfer knowledge
Relevant certification or vocational training
Ability to manage and adapt to fluctuating workloads, including handling spikes in production demand
