Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a Hot Trim Operator to join their team. As a Hot Trim Operator, you will be an essential part of the production department supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong coordination skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Hot Trim Operator
Location: Kalkaska, MI
Pay Range: $16.60/hr
Shift: Monday-Thursday 4:00am-2:30pm and mandatory overtime Fridays 6:00am-2:00pm, some Saturdays when required.
What's the Job?
Conduct walk-round inspections of equipment at the beginning of each shift
Trim forged parts coming off the hammers and operate the trim press
Operate conveyor systems and load billet feeders
Inspect part line-up and assist with hammer setup and adjustments for part alignment
Clean work area at shift end, and support material handling tasks
What's Needed?
Experience operating a hot trim or similar press
Good hand/eye coordination
Basic math skills
Ability to operate forklifts and cranes
Willingness to perform additional tasks as required
