Title: Waste Handler I
Reports to: Environmental Manager
Location: Holland, MI
Job Summary:
Supports LG Energy Solution by managing the facility's waste and recycled materials and provides overall support to the EH&S team as related to waste handling.
Responsibilities:
Waste handlers must ensure timely pick-ups of all waste and recycled materials and communicate with the requesters on pick-up timing and completion of the task.
All waste handlers are responsible for the following as it relates to the facility's hazardous, non-hazardous, medical, universal and recycling wastes.
Ensure smooth operation of all waste handling activities
Perform required inspections
Attend all training as required
Ensure all waste handling areas are clean and in order
Communicate with the EH&S team
Ensure that all duties are carried out in compliance with regulatory guidelines
Ability to work in all weather conditions
All other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Possess a strong sense of urgency and the ability to multitask
Ability to work with others in a team setting as needed
Flexibility as it relates to daily work activities
