CoherentRx, Inc. (d/b/a People.Health) is in need of a Software Development Manager to work in Troy, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to manage, lead, and mentor a team of software developers. Plan, design, develop, and deliver software projects on time and within quality standards. Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define project scope, prioritize features, and allocate resources. Implement and oversee Agile or Scrum development processes. Provide technical guidance on architecture, design patterns, and software development best practices. Review technical designs to ensure scalability, maintainability, and alignment with business requirements. Ensure code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (product, design, QA) to integrate software solutions. Identify and resolve technical obstacles, risks, and issues affecting project timelines or quality. Stay current with emerging technologies and integrate improvements into development processes.
Must have a Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, plus three (3) years of software development experience as a Software Developer, Senior Developer, Lead Developer, Software Engineer, or related position. Two (2) of the three (3) years of software development experience must include experience with all of the following: 1) Leading software development teams and successfully delivering software projects; 2) Agile software development methodologies; 3) Modern programming languages and frameworks; and 4) Cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) and DevOps practices. In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, plus five (5) years of progressive post-Bachelor’s Degree software development experience. Two (2) years of the five (5) years of progressive post-Bachelor's Degree software development experience must include experience with all of the following: 1) Leading software development teams and successfully delivering software projects; 2) Agile software development methodologies; 3) Modern programming languages and frameworks; and 4) Cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) and DevOps practices.
All experience may be acquired concurrently. Travel required approximately 10% per year. International travel is not required. Domestic travel required to attend company meetings or visit client sites. This is a telecommuting position. EOE.
