Description
The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for managing the shipping operations and ensure the efficient and accurate distribution of our products. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the shipping department, including managing shipping staff, coordinating shipments, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations, and optimizing processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Lead and manage the shipping team, providing training and support to ensure high performance and productivity
Oversee the preparation, packaging, and dispatching of shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery or products to customers.
Monitor and manage inventory levels in the shipping area to prevent stockout or overstock situations.
Identify and implement improvements in shipping processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
Ensure adherence to shipping regulations, company policies, and safety standards to maintain a secure and efficient work environment.
Ensure accurate and complete shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping manifests and customs paperwork where applicable.
Address and solve any shipping-related issues or discrepancies, including tracking and managing returns or damaged goods.
Prepare and maintain reports on shipping performance metrics, including order fulfillment rates, shipping times, and cost analyses.
Position Requirements
Associates Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field with 6+ years relevant experience.
Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field with 2+ years relevant experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong leadership and team management skills
Knowledge of shipping regulations, safety standards, and best pactices
Proficiency in shipping and logistics software and systems
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
