JOB SUMMARY
Supports treasury capital markets function, including preparation of debt financing materials, oversight of compliance activities, and performing financial analyses, including contributions to the accounting close process. Acts as a subject matter resource within Treasury and partners cross-functionally to improve processes and ensure accurate, compliant reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports the debt management process, including the development and evaluation of short- and long-term financing strategies, as well as the execution of financings through preparation of offering materials, investor presentations, and coordination of investor, bank, and legal due diligence.
Maintains accurate records of all debt-related activities and transactions.
Performs and reviews complex financial analyses related to debt issuances, refinancing opportunities, regulatory filings, and strategic initiatives.
Develops presentations for senior management, banks, rating agencies, and investors.
Prepares and processes journal entries and account reconciliations in support of the accounting close process.
Prepares debt-related analyses and deliverables for the accounting close process, as well as SEC and FERC reporting.
Maintains credit metric calculations and monitors changes to methodologies used by rating agencies to determine credit ratings.
Supports the execution of interest rate risk management strategies.
Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, banks, rating agencies, and internal teams, to facilitate effective debt management and communication.
Prepares and distributes debt compliance deliverables by required due dates.
Manages multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager of Debt Capital Markets and Assistant Treasurer.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field of study.
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience in accounting, financial analysis, and/or treasury required.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail, with sound organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively and manage competing deadlines.
Experience with job specific software preferred (i.e., Workiva, PeopleSoft, PowerPlan, Bloomberg).
