Overview of Role
BA II supporting enterprise transformation through automation and AI initiatives
Acts as a bridge between business, data, and technical teams
Focus on turning ambiguous business problems into structured, actionable solutions
Heavy emphasis on process improvement, data validation, and measurable business impact
Expected to challenge assumptions, not just document requirements
Plays a key role in scaling automation/AI to improve operations and member experience
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders across business and tech
Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows
Support Agile ceremonies (story mapping, sprint planning, backlog organization)
Analyze current processes and define improved future-state workflows
Build Power BI dashboards to track performance, improvements, and outcomes
Use data to validate assumptions and identify operational gaps
Act as liaison between business teams and technical teams
Create mockups, wireframes, and process diagrams to support solution design
Validate deliverables for quality and alignment with business goals
Identify risks, scope changes, and escalate issues as needed
Provide interim/stopgap solutions when long-term solutions are not ready

Skills and Requirements
Must Haves
Strong Business Analysis experience (requirements gathering, story cards, acceptance criteria)
Experience working in Agile environments (story mapping, sprint planning, backlog support)
Ability to analyze current-state vs. future-state processes
Strong data analysis skills and ability to use data to validate problems/solutions
Power BI experience (reporting, dashboards, tracking KPIs)
Experience working cross-functionally with business + technical teams
Ability to create process flows, documentation, and visual artifacts (wireframes, diagrams)
Strong communication skills-can challenge stakeholders and drive clarity
Comfortable working in ambiguous, evolving environments Plusses
Exposure to automation and AI initiatives
Experience in insurance or financial services
Experience working with vendors / external partners
Knowledge of systems, data flows, and technical constraints
Experience defining non-functional requirements (performance, security, etc.)
Hands-on experience validating technical deliverables
