Job Title: MIG Welder
Job Description
This role focuses on MIG welding mild steel components used in conveyor systems for original equipment manufacturers and suppliers
You will perform high-quality welds on various material thicknesses, ensure proper machine setup, and contribute to the fabrication of reliable, production-ready conveyor assemblies
Job Responsibilitie
Perform MIG welding on various thicknesses of mild steel for conveyor system components
Set up MIG welding machinery to the proper temperatures and parameters for each job
Follow blueprints and production specifications to complete accurate welds on conveyor systems
Inspect welds for quality, consistency, and adherence to project requirements
Work with other fabrication team members to assemble and fit components as needed
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following shop safety procedures at all times
Adjust welding techniques and settings based on material thickness and project needs
Use basic fabrication tools and equipment to support welding and assembly tasks
Read and interpret CAD drawings when available to understand design intent and weld locations, if qualified
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance welding quality and efficiency
Essential Skills
At least 2 years of hands-on MIG welding experience on steel
Minimum 1 year of mild steel welding experience
Ability to set up MIG welding machinery to proper temperatures and settings
Proficiency in MIG welding techniques on various thicknesses of mild steel
Ability to read and follow blueprints related to conveyor systems

This is a Permanent position based out of Wixom, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
