Responsible for carrying out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems; contribute to the development of, and implement feasibility testing of, proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design; carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards; carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations to senior colleagues on the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements; deliver required outcomes by coordinating activities of subcontractors and suppliers, and act as a primary point-of-contact for them while working within an established contract management plan, identifying shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them; help others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice; utilize Visual Basic, Power BI, APQP, tools and fixtures design, liquid penetrant (LPI) & ultrasonic inspection (UT), Minitab, PPAP, MSA, Value Stream Mapping, C.M.M. programming & running, and CNC machining to perform duties; carry out a range of product development and engineering activities; use established systems to analyze customer needs, and define and deliver products; work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals; set up AI driven Machine Vision Sensors inspection, which automatically verifies assembly lines from potential non-conformance; create PLC based mistake-proofing steps using SQL Server database queries; investigate product and process related issues, and recommend changes to control plans and blueprints through the QIT process; use GD&T principles, performing tolerance stack-up studies of mating parts, and suggest best solutions for mitigating stack-up issues; analyze breakaway torque audit data through SPC tools and initiate CAs to ensure process capability; initiate NCCAs to troubleshoot fit, form and function parameters, thereby starting ECMs , deviations, or flagging for NC sorts; learn and use quality planning tools and analysis to formulate/facilitate quality plans for new products within the product delivery, customer support processes, Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Order Fulfilment Process (EOFP), and Value Improvement (VI) teams; investigate product quality problems, determine root cause for quality problems, gather and analyze data, and implement corrective action to reduce or eliminate non-value waste resulting from non-conformances, scrap or reclaim; and drive engineering solutions to decrease RPN and risk of premature failures of the product and process by conducting through FMEA analysis.

Salary: $83,200 per year;
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Systems Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, as a Manufacturing Engineer, or in a related occupation;
