Title: Janitorial/Custodial Worker (1–2 Positions) — Macomb County & Lake Orion, MI
Summary:
Seeking 1–2 reliable individuals to perform janitorial services at one or several commercial buildings in Macomb County and Lake Orion, MI. Work follows client scopes of work with line-item tasks to be completed at each service visit.

Pay:
Monthly payments by location: $35.00 to $65.00 per location per service visit. Work completed in January will be paid on February 15. Payments follow this monthly schedule with no exceptions.
Key Responsibilities (examples from client scopes)
- Bathroom: empty waste and dispose in dumpster; clean mirrors, sinks, countertops; disinfect toilets and surfaces; clean/polish brightwork; vacuum/sweep and flat-mop hard floors; replenish towel/toilet paper/soap dispensers; report repair issues.
- Lobby/Reception: empty waste; vacuum walk-off mats; dust mop/vacuum and flat-mop hard floors; remove fingerprints from entry glass; secure entrance doors; turn lights off as instructed.
- Corridor: vacuum walk-off mats; dust mop/vacuum and flat-mop; pull out movable shelves to sweep/mop and replace; dust fronts of product shelves within reason; clean/polish drinking fountains; turn lights off as instructed.
- Kitchenette: empty waste; clean/disinfect sinks and counters; clean microwaves inside/out; wipe oven tops; dust mop/vacuum and flat-mop floors; clean walls/counter fronts as needed; turn lights off as instructed.
- Bi-monthly/Periodic: low and high dusting of horizontal and above-reach surfaces; thorough dispenser cleaning; wipe fingerprints from doors, frames, switches, plates, handles, etc.
- Follow the detailed client scope-of-work checklist at each site.
Qualifications:
- Prior janitorial/custodial experience preferred.
- Able to read, write, and speak English efficiently.
- Able to follow checklists and complete line-item tasks independently.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to think on their feet.
- Reliable transportation to multiple sites (if required).
- Physically able to lift up to 60 lbs, bend, and perform routine cleaning duties.
Workplace Policy:
Background checks are required for employment; findings will not automatically bar employment but may affect site placement.
No drug use or possession is allowed on client property or during work hours; off-duty use away from client sites is not prohibited by this employer.
Safety-first mindset required: do not perform actions that could harm yourself, others, the client, or client property (e.g., do not stand on unstable chairs to reach high areas).
Supplies & Equipment
Clients will maintain a stock of consumables (toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, batteries for motion dispensers, etc.) unless another agreement is in place.
Contractors must keep an active inventory and ensure these items are replenished and ready for the next cleaning; communicate shortages or issues promptly.
We will provide initial tools and supplies to set you up for success. Contractors are encouraged to use their own equipment if preferred.
Contractors must maintain a supply of clean, ready-to-use mop pads and microfiber rags (initial batch provided; contractors responsible for laundering and replenishing).
