Staffing Inc. is partnered with a great small restaurant and retail business in Saugatuck. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Restaurant Line Cook Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients and assist in menu planning according to dietary department guidelines.
- Cook and assemble dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring all food safety protocols are followed.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
- Help train new kitchen staff in food handling procedures and best practices.
Restaurant Line Cook Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
- Experience in a culinary environment, preferably as a cook or dietary aide.
- Must have proficient knife skills and various cooking techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Adapt to changing menus and dietary requirements while maintaining quality standards.
- A passion for culinary arts and commitment to providing exceptional meals.
