Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
This role focuses on safely loading and moving heavy materials within a steel warehouse to ensure saw operators receive the correct materials on time. You will train on first shift and then transition to either second or third shift, working with equipment such as chain slings, magnets, cranes, and forklifts in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
Responsibilities
Load and move heavy materials from the warehouse to saw operators using chain slings, magnets, and other lifting devices.
Operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment to transport and stage materials safely and efficiently.
Use RF scanners to track, locate, and confirm movement of materials within the facility.
Perform basic machine operating tasks as needed to support production and loading activities.
Handle production materials, including packaging and loading, according to established procedures and quality standards.
Measure materials accurately using a tape measure to ensure correct sizing and proper allocation to saw operators.
Follow all safety guidelines and protocols while working in a steel facility with heavy equipment and materials.
Maintain a clean and organized work area despite the dirty and damp environment, ensuring safe walkways and workspaces.
Support team members by communicating material needs and coordinating loading priorities to keep production flowing.
Adapt to working optional Saturday shifts when required to meet production demands.
Essential Skills
Previous warehouse experience with moving and handling materials in an industrial or similar environment.
Experience working with steel, recycling, or other heavy-duty operations.
Ability to safely operate forklifts for material loading and movement.
Experience using cranes or overhead lifting equipment to move heavy materials.
Proficiency in material handling, loading, and production support tasks.
Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for measuring materials.
Familiarity with RF scanners for tracking and managing inventory or materials.
Capability to perform basic machine operating tasks in a production setting.
Comfort working with heavy materials using chain slings and magnets.
Ability to work second shift (3:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m., Monday-Friday) or third shift (7:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m., Sunday-Thursday) after training on first shift.
Willingness and physical ability to work in a dirty, dark, and damp steel facility.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in production, packaging, and loading in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Prior exposure to heavy industrial equipment and processes in steel or recycling facilities.
Comfort working in fast-paced, physically demanding roles that involve repetitive lifting and movement.
Willingness to train on first shift (5:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) before transitioning to assigned shift.
Flexibility to work optional Saturdays when needed to support production demands.

Work Environment
The role is based in a steel facility that is intentionally described as dirty, dark, and damp, making it well-suited for individuals who are comfortable in rugged, industrial settings. You will work around heavy materials and equipment, including cranes, forklifts, chain slings, and magnets, and use RF scanners and basic production machinery as part of daily tasks. Training takes place on first shift from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., after which you transition to either second shift (3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., Monday through Friday) or third shift (7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday through Thursday). The environment is physically demanding and hands-on, with a strong emphasis on safety, proper handling of heavy materials, and adherence to industrial work practices. Dress expectations align with a heavy industrial setting, requiring practical, durable clothing and appropriate safety gear suitable for a steel facility.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
