Overview
Nelson Paint Company is hiring an Entry-Level Accounting Specialist to support daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bookkeeping, and general ledger support.
This is a great opportunity for candidates seeking roles such as Accounting Assistant, Bookkeeper, Junior Accountant, or Staff Accountant (Entry-Level). Training is provided, and you’ll gain hands-on experience across the full accounting cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Accounts Payable (AP) invoices and payments
- Prepare and send Accounts Receivable (AR) invoices and statements
- Post cash receipts and customer payments
- Assist with bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and financial records
- Support purchase order processing and vendor verification
- Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets and reports
- Maintain organized accounting files and documentation
- Assist with inventory counts and product costing
- Provide general office and administrative support as needed
Qualifications (Entry-Level Friendly)
- 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or office experience (or relevant education)
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles (AP/AR, debits/credits)
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to occasionally travel if needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required

- Ability to work flexible hours if needed
