Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dependable and organized Part-Time Child Care Cook to join our team. This position will prepare simple, scheduled meals and snacks for children at two childcare locations located approximately five minutes apart (Bay Road and Davenport).
Menus and schedules are already prepared, making this a straightforward and structured position. We are looking for someone with reliable transportation, strong attendance, and the ability to travel between both centers as needed.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking in a calm environment and loves supporting children through nutritious meals and snacks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks according to provided menus.
- Follow a simple daily cooking and delivery schedule between both locations.
- Travel between Bay Road and Davenport locations as needed (approximately five minutes apart).
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in kitchen areas.
- Follow childcare food safety and licensing guidelines.
- Wash dishes and keep kitchen areas organized.
- Monitor food supplies and communicate low inventory items.
- Accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions when needed.
- Work efficiently and independently throughout the shift.
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to travel between both childcare locations.
- Basic cooking and kitchen experience preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred.
- Ability to stay organized and follow a schedule.
- Must be dependable, positive, and team-oriented.
