This role combines business ownership, sales, and logistics. Key responsibilities, requirements, and day-to-day duties include:
- Product Delivery & Stocking: Picking up fresh baked goods at wholesale cost from local Bimbo sales centers and delivering them on a set schedule to supermarkets.
- Shelf Merchandising: Physically stocking the shelves, rotating products to ensure freshness, and pulling outdated or expired products.
- Account Management: Building strong relationships with store managers and owners to resolve issues and fulfill orders.
- Inventory & Route Management: Using handheld computers to track inventory, manage invoices, and handle daily route settlement.
Business Requirements & Expenses
Because you operate as an independent business, you are responsible for the overhead costs of your route, including:
- Purchasing the Route: Buying the distribution rights. (Financing is available for qualified buyers).
- Vehicles: Purchasing or leasing your own delivery vehicle (usually a white box truck) and covering all fuel and maintenance costs. (Truck available)
