Shipping Clerk
Job Description
Join a 66year old company making paper tubes for packaging, shipping, retail
and other industrial uses. Jonesville Paper Tube is a small family run (less
than 50 employees), profit sharing company with great hours and benefits.
Our main materials are paper and glue (so very limited odors from oils or
other chemicals) and our facility is fully climate controlled with AC in the
summer months.
- Full time hours but part time as shipping clerk for first shift (full time shipping as needed)
- Would help with production when not shipping
- 1st shift. (M-Th 6:15AM to 3:00PM, F6:15AM to 11:15AM)
- starting pay is dependent on experience (can train with correct qualifications)
- Pay increases every 160 hours until fully trained
- Overtime when needed
Job Duties for this position:
- Receiving, verifying, and distributing incoming shipments and ensuring outgoing shipments are
properly picked, packaged, and identified with shipping information
- Compare identifying information and count, weight, or measure items of incoming and outgoing
shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
- Operate a variety of machines and equipment such as hand trucks or carts, pallet jack, pallet
wrappers and lift trucks to load or unload trucks.
- Maintain organization and count of warehouse contents; count inventory for cycle count
Additional Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must know both fractions and decimal equivalents, use tape measure, general math and must be
able to distinguish color and materials
Comfortable lifting boxes up to 50lb from time to time.
- Enjoy a fast paced but rewarding position.
- Pre-employment physical and drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
