Position: Patient Account Representative

Duties:
Patient Accounts is the primary responsibility of this position. Accounts Receivable would be the second priority, and Registration will be done as a float when the other two responsibilities do not require more hours.
Patient Accounts - Analysis of accounts, make necessary corrections and determine the appropriateness of collection. Contact and negotiate with patients to obtain payment or payment agreements. Act as liaison between HNJH, the patient, and the payer.
Accounts Receivable - Responsible for entering and balancing cash receipts, posting general ledger accounts. Will review patient accounts for accuracy and completeness. Prepares reports and responds to inquiries concerning receivable activities.
Admitting Clerk - Registers/admits patient including interviewing and prepares necessary forms, with the most accurate information possible. Verify insurance eligibility using system provided (Quadax, WebDenis, CHAMPS, etc.)
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
