Position Overview
Adecco is partnering with a growing precision manufacturing company seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist / CNC Operator to join their team. This is a hands-on role for a highly skilled machinist who can independently set up, program, and operate CNC lathes while maintaining tight tolerances and producing high-quality precision components.
The ideal candidate will possess strong CNC machining fundamentals, manual machining knowledge, and the ability to create and modify CNC programs with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, program, and operate Haas CNC lathes with minimal supervision.
Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs to produce precision-machined components.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering drawings to determine machining requirements and the most efficient manufacturing process.
Select appropriate tooling, cutting speeds, feed rates, and depths of cut for various materials and applications.
Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and program adjustments as required.
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.
Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to improve quality and efficiency.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment while following established manufacturing procedures.
Qualifications
Proven experience operating and programming CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with Haas CNC controls strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting techniques, speeds and feeds, and threading operations.
Knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming with the ability to make program modifications at the machine.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
Experience with manual machining processes and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
