Team Lead Pay: $20.00/hour
Location: University in SE Grand Rapids
Position Overview
We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our Summer Dormitory Cleaning Team. In this seasonal role, you will play a key part in preparing student housing for new occupants by ensuring all spaces are clean, sanitized, and move-in ready during the summer turnover period.
Key Responsibilities
Deep cleaning of dorm rooms, bathrooms, hallways, kitchens and common areas in a fast-paced environment
Deep cleaning of walls, baseboards, doors, closets, light switch & fixture, including any frame work, ledges/shelves
Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub floors and extract carpets
Clean windows, mirrors, and all surfaces
Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns
Follow all cleaning protocols, deep cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
Lead Cleaners lead and support a team of custodians, ensuring consistent adherence to cleaning standards
Qualifications
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and good time management skills
Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods - Lots of walking)
Previous custodial or cleaning experience is a plus, but not required
Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record
