Role Summary
The Strategic Planning Analyst provides strategic planning and business development support through business planning, market research, data mining, customized analysis, and clear, well-synthesized reporting. This role ensures accuracy in measurement tracking, internal and external data analysis, and monitoring of competitive indicators across the system.
The analyst must demonstrate strong project management skills, proficiency in MS Office, experience with analytic tools, and a basic understanding of diagnosis and procedure coding systems (MSDRG, ICD-10, CPT). Experience with MIDB/MODB (Data Koala), mapping software, and commercial claims data is preferred.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Healthcare Management, Economics, or a quantitative discipline

One to three years of experience in a strategy or quantitative analytics role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Healthcare experience preferred
Skills and Abilities

Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerBI, Excel, and PowerPoint

Experience with analytics tools such as Data Koala, Sg2 Analytics, and GIS programs

Basic understanding of diagnosis and procedure coding systems (MSDRG, ICD-10, CPT)

Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, communication, writing, and project management skills

High attention to detail, proactive work style, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Customer-focused mindset, strong teamwork, and ability to manage multiple projects with minimal oversight

Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders with tact and sound judgment

Self-motivated and able to work independently

Knowledge of root cause analysis and process improvement techniques preferred

Ability to view computer screens and perform detailed work for intermittent periods
Physical Requirements: Hand and eye coordination, repetitive motion related to computer use, ability to lift up to 10 pounds, and ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Work is primarily visual.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Data mine large datasets from planning tools such as Data Koala, Epic Slicer Dicers, and Sg2 Analytics

Collect, synthesize, and interpret information from multiple sources to produce business cases, dashboards, and presentations with actionable insights

Develop, maintain, and update systems and databases to support decision making

Ensure data accuracy, analytic integrity, and consistent reporting

Monitor Bronson’s market areas to identify trends and competitive intelligence

Create and maintain data visualizations using PowerBI, Excel, and Maptitude GIS

Complete tasks proactively, meet deadlines, and support team workflows

Complete routine and ad hoc projects such as focus groups, surveys, market newsletters, market research, service line plans, and environmental scans

Perform other duties as assigned
