Pay Rate: $22.00/hr (1-year contract)
Shift: Must be available to work either 1st shift (6:00am to 2:30pm) OR 2nd shift (2:00pm to 10:30pm). Ability to work weekends and overtime is required.
What's a typical day as Industrial Maintenance Mechanic? You'll be:
Understanding and complying with facility safety rules and regulations
Working in chemical hazardous areas with appropriate PPE
Installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment such as liquid pumps, centrifugal devices, gears, air motors, valves, actuators, conveyors, HVAC, boilers, air compressors, and other building utilities
Fabricating equipment from ideas or drawings, including metal welding (Tig, Mig, Stick), cutting, and grinding
Inspecting machines regularly for signs of malfunction, conducting visual and auditory checks, and scheduled testing
Troubleshooting and performing emergency repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic machinery
Scheduling and performing routine preventative maintenance and service
Maintaining workplace cleanliness and creating schedules for inspection, service, and testing
Complying with work orders regarding service, modification, or installation of machinery
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
Have a High School Diploma or GED (required)
Have experience in the maintenance field (required); minimum of 1 year preferred, especially with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fabrication
Are comfortable with hand tools and power tools
Are willing to learn and perform pipefitting and welding
Possess a basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, metal fabrication, and electrical (preferred)
Are able to work first and second shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed
Are comfortable working at heights for short durations
