Job Title: Workers Compensation Plant Representative IIJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Workers Compensation Plant Representative II to analyze and process complex or technically difficult workers' compensation claims. In this role, you will investigate and gather information to determine the exposure on claims and manage them through well-developed action plans to ensure timely and cost-effective resolutions.
Responsibilities
Analyze and process complex workers' compensation claims.
Handle a full caseload, including cases of increased severity.
Manage claims through well-developed action plans for timely and cost-effective resolutions.
Calculate and assign appropriate reserves to claims and manage reserve adequacy throughout the life of the claim.
Calculate and pay benefits due, approve, and make timely claim payments and adjustments, and settle claims within designated authority level.
Prepare necessary state filings within statutory limits.
Coordinate vendor referrals for additional investigation and/or litigation management.
Use cost containment techniques, including strategic vendor partnerships, to reduce overall costs of claims.
Manage claim recoveries, including subrogation, Second Injury Fund excess recoveries, and Social Security and Medicare offsets.
Report claims to the excess carrier.
Communicate claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client.
Ensure claim files are properly documented and claims coding is correct.
Refer cases as appropriate to supervisor and management.
Essential Skills
3-5 years of Workers' Compensation claims management experience
Experience handling Workers' Compensation Lost Time claims
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent customer service and quality claims handling
Experience in claims processing and administrative support

Work Environment
This is a fully onsite position, working at plants around Dearborn to support with claims and worker's comp claims. The role requires a plant-based presence to effectively manage and process claims within the designated area.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.10 - $30.10/hr.
