The North America Quality organization is currently seeking candidates to join the Control Tower and Field Quality Engineer (CTFQ Engineer) at the Headquarters & Technical Center (QEC) Auburn Hills, MI. The CTFQ Engineer is responsible for assisting in the administration and/or coordination of multiple vehicle systems including compiling project status reports, coordinating project schedules, managing project meetings, agendas, minutes and correspondence. The incumbent will report to a team lead or supervisor/manager and should have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for automotive and powertrain development. Opportunities are available in Propulsion System Group on the Internal Combustion Engines (PS/ICE) Team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Facilitating cross functional project meetings, compile project status reports, coordinate project schedules, agendas, minutes and correspondence. Identify and analyze system requirements, and define project scope, requirements, and deliverables involving multiple stakeholders
Lead the resolution of warranty related issues - Accountable for problem solving process, proposed solution, validation, and weekly progress
Lead Triage for assigned engines - warranty claims analysis, conduct vehicle and component level analysis and testing, support Stellantis/Suppliers review at Quality Engineering Center and Manufacturing locations.
Establish short and long term containment actions for warranty issues
Travel to engine/vehicle plants and supplier locations locally, domestically and occasionally internationally to investigate parts, vehicles and processes

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical engineering
5+ years of experience in Product Engineering or Product Development of Internal Combustion Engines
2+ years of experience in testing/validation/test method development, including fixture design, instrumentation, data acquisition, etc.
Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills
Well-rounded automotive knowledge and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and able to manage unionized workforce
Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel and Project
Working knowledge of Teamcenter
Working knowledge of GD&T and understanding full detail on drawings
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's in engineering
Shainin RedX Black Belt
Green Belt / Kepner Tregoe
Design for Six Sigma
Project Management
