Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Certificate of High School Equivalency AND
Three (3) years of full-time paid experience in the repair and maintenance of a variety of motor vehicles and heavy-duty equipment and Master Mechanic License from the State of Michigan; Or
- High School Diploma or Certificate of High School Equivalency AND
Four (4) years of full-time paid experience in the repair and maintenance of a variety of motor vehicles and heavy-duty equipment; AND
Four (4) certifications in either category listed below:
A. Automobile & Light Truck (Vehicles under 10,000# GVW): Engine Repair; Front End, Suspension and Steering Systems; Brakes and Braking Systems; Electrical Systems.
B. Heavy-Duty Trucks (Vehicles over 10,000# GVW): Engine Repair – Diesel; Brakes and Braking Systems; Suspension and Steering Systems; Electrical Systems.
- Valid driver's license and a safe, acceptable driving record.
