QC Chemist II
Location: Holland
Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Chemist II to support R&D and pilot plant operations in a collaborative, fast-paced laboratory environment. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on analytical testing, instrument ownership, and contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation including GC-MS, HPLC, NMR, and Karl Fischer systems
Perform analytical testing on pilot plant and production samples, documenting and reporting results accurately
Execute testing procedures in accordance with established methods, SOPs, and work instructions
Prepare, standardize, and validate laboratory reagents and standards
Review analytical data and enter results into electronic laboratory systems
Collaborate with pilot plant and cross-functional teams to interpret data and support process optimization efforts
Coordinate routine instrument maintenance, calibration, and external repair activities
Support daily laboratory operations including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining lab organization
Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within laboratory operations
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline
Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control, manufacturing, or laboratory environments
Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation and laboratory testing techniques
Strong attention to detail, documentation, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills in a fast-paced setting
