Job Description
This 1st shift Maintenance Technician role supports a high-volume stamping and assembly facility by maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment, robotics, and controls
The position focuses on electrical, robotic, PLC, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, ensuring reliable production while mentoring other technicians on automation and controls
Job Responsibilities
Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair on Fanuc and Epson pick-and-place robots, including diagnosing faults, interpreting error codes, recalibrating (such as Z calibration), reviewing programs and teach points, and resolving alarm calls
Inspect, maintain, and repair end-of-arm (EOA) tooling, including swapping out motherboards and other robotic components as needed
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using schematics and a voltmeter on 24V, 110V, and 240V circuits, identifying root causes of failures
Replace and commission electrical components such as drives, sensors, and motors, ensuring minimal downtime and safe operation
Log into PLCs (primarily Allen-Bradley) to troubleshoot issues, understand inputs and outputs, navigate RSLogix, pinpoint problems, and make minor edits while coordinating with controls engineers for more complex programming needs
Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting valves, reading hydraulic prints, and pinpointing issues in motors, drives, and 3-phase motor applications
Support mechanical maintenance on stamping presses (300-400 ton Minister and Schuler machines) and bonding/assembly equipment, including repairs, adjustments, and component replacements
Essential Skills
Approximately 6+ years of experience as an industrial maintenance technician or in a closely related maintenance role, with a strong tenure in the field
Proven experience in robotic troubleshooting, specifically with Fanuc robots and/or Epson pick-and-place robots
Ability to understand and troubleshoot Fanuc robots when faults occur, including identifying whether issues are electrical, performing recalibration (such as Z calibration), interpreting encoder feedback, and reviewing programs and teach points
Hands-on experience working with end-of-arm tooling, including the ability to swap out motherboards and other robotic components
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including reading and interpreting electrical schematics
Proficiency using a voltmeter to troubleshoot 24V, 110V, and 240V systems safely and accurately
Ability to replace and troubleshoot drives, sensors, and motors, including identifying the root cause of failures
Practical experience with PLC troubleshooting, primarily Allen-Bradley PLCs, including logging in, understanding inputs and outputs, and working within RSLogix

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $79040.00/yr.

1st Shift: 6am - 2pm Monday - Friday, Saturday's as needed for production / PM's 1-2x a month on Saturday's (could be 1/2 days)
