Job Title: Fabrication Associate
Job Description
The Fabrication Associate supports the production of high-quality conveyor systems by cutting, fabricating, and preparing metal components according to detailed blueprints and CAD drawings
Working on a first-shift schedule in a plant environment, this role contributes directly to building complete conveyor and automated systems used on major manufacturing floors
The position requires strict adherence to safety protocols, precise measurement skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team while learning to operate a variety of fabrication tools and equipment
Job Responsibilities
Maintain strict compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and protocols at all times while working in the shop and around equipment
Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings to understand fabrication requirements, measurements, and material needs
Translate technical drawings into clear fabrication steps, including identifying cut locations, operations, and material handling requirements.
Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning with chemical solutions and wire brushes to remove scale, rust, grease, moisture, and other impurities.
Operate hand-welding and flame-cutting equipment, including oxyacetylene torches and electric arc machines, in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Use blueprints and drawings to determine accurate cut and fabrication measurements, layout, and positioning of metal components.
Conduct assessments of each job to determine the appropriate tools, machinery, and equipment required for cutting, welding, and fabrication.
Essential Skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings and translate them into clear fabrication steps and material requirements
Strong proficiency in reading and using a tape measure accurately, including working with precise quantitative measurements
Demonstrated commitment to safety, including consistent adherence to safety protocols and strong safety awareness in a plant or shop environment
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work from technical drawings in a fabrication or manufacturing setting
Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work well with others and communicate proactively and professionally

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
