APPRENTICE ELECTRICIAN

What You'll Be Doing
Work side-by-side with a Journeyman Electrician on commercial and industrial new construction and remodel projects
Install, bend, and secure electrical conduit according to plans and electrical code
Pull, route, and run electrical wire for lighting, power, and outlets
Assist with installing and wiring outlets, switches, fixtures, and electrical devices
Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
Follow safety procedures and job instructions to ensure quality work
Keep job sites and shop areas clean, organized, and safe
Use hand tools and power tools properly and safely
Help transport tools, materials, and equipment as needed
Actively learn the trade by applying instruction and feedback from experienced electricians
What We're Looking For
Apprentice-level knowledge or training in the electrical trade
Ability or willingness to learn conduit bending for commercial and industrial work
Basic experience pulling or running wire
Interest in electrical installation and hands-on construction work
Ability to read or learn blueprint and schematic interpretation
Comfort working on construction sites and active job environments
Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
Reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn
Nice to Have
Previous experience in electrical, construction, or skilled trades
Familiarity with commercial wiring and conduit installation
Ability to travel to job sites within about a 60-minute radius of Traverse City
Willingness to work full-time hours and occasional overtime

Work Environment
This is a field-based position supporting commercial and industrial job sites such as offices, churches, car dealerships, dental offices, and manufacturing facilities. Work is based out of a Traverse City-area office and typically stays within an hour of the area. The role requires regular use of electrical tools and standard construction equipment. The organization maintains strict safety and substance-use standards, including ongoing compliance and random testing throughout the year.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
