Position Summary:
A Machine Operator is able to effectively follow instructions and efficiently run machines to meet production goals.
Position Description:
- Operate machines safely and efficiently to meet production goals.
- Accurately & legibly record production, downtime and scrap on daily production report.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines.
- Inspect parts and record data as required to ensure quality conformance.
- Report to Supervisor regularly, keeping them updated on production activities and progress.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Proper handling of non-conforming parts.
- Material handling with forklifts and/or pallet jacks.
Job Requirements:
- 2+ years’ operating machines in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Prior quality inspection experience preferred.
- Ability to follow job specific instructions, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Effective communication skills.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.
Education Preferred:
- High School Diploma or GED.
