Automotive Product Training Specialist
Location: Upstate New York (Syracuse, Buffalo, Rochester, Albany, etc.)
Work Model: Remote with extensive travel

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Automotive Product Training Specialist to support dealership performance across a defined regional territory. This role is responsible for delivering high-impact training on vehicle features, product technology, and brand positioning to retail sales and service professionals.
As a key liaison between corporate initiatives and dealership execution, this individual will drive knowledge adoption, improve retail performance, and elevate the overall customer experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Facilitation
Deliver instructor-led training to dealership personnel, including:
Sales Consultants and Sales Managers
Service Advisors and Service Managers
Conduct both in-person sessions and virtual training (VCO) formats
Provide in-depth training on:
Vehicle features and benefits
Advanced product technologies
Brand positioning and heritage
Competitive comparisons
Facilitate engaging sessions for groups of approximately 12-20 participants
Maintain a high-energy learning environment while effectively handling questions and objections
Process attendance and ensure proper certification tracking
Territory Management
Develop and manage a quarterly training calendar
Actively recruit and enroll dealership participants in certification and training programs
Conduct outreach and marketing efforts to drive participation and engagement
Ensure equal access to training opportunities across all dealerships in the assigned territory
Support performance improvement initiatives at the retail level to drive sales and customer satisfaction
Respond promptly to inquiries from dealership personnel
Corporate Program Support
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for product content and training materials
Support curriculum development, content review, and updates
Communicate key corporate initiatives, product updates, and customer experience programs to dealerships
Partner with internal teams (e.g., marketing, fleet, engineering, regional leadership) to align messaging and execution
Act as a field voice by providing insights and feedback from dealership interactions
QualificationsRequired
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with experience speaking to both small and large audiences
Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 80%)
Ability to manage a territory independently and work remotely
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Automotive retail experience (e.g., Sales Consultant or Sales Manager)
Experience delivering training in automotive, sales, or customer experience environments
Ability to engage audiences, manage group dynamics, and maintain high participation levels
Familiarity with dealership operations and retail sales processes
Work Environment & Candidate Profile
Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the assigned territory (Upstate NY region)
Remote, home-based role with frequent travel to dealership locations
Comfortable working independently while managing scheduling, logistics, and training delivery
Highly organized with strong follow-through and self-motivation
Passionate about automotive products, training, and driving performance improvement

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
