- A master’s degree in early childhood education or child development (or related field) with five or more years of relevant experience in early childhood education (such as working with young children in a group setting/teaching, program instructional coaching, staff supervision/development, and program management) or a bachelor’s degree with ten or more years of relevant experience in early childhood education is required. A Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate with a ZA/ZS, B-K, or PreK-3 endorsement is preferred.
- Knowledge of Early Childhood Standards of Quality for Pre-K (ECSQ-PK), Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs Rules for Childcare Centers, GSRP Requirements as outlined in the GSRP Implementation Manual.
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practice research and application.
