Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing and quality control, is seeking a Straightening Press Operator to join their dedicated team. As a Straightening Press Operator, you will be an essential part of the manufacturing process, supporting the production and quality assurance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Straightening Press Operator
Location: Clare, MI
Pay Range: DOE (dependant on experience)
Shift: 6 am to 4 pm, Monday through Thursday - Friday is for overtime
What's the Job?
Inspect parts for straightness and straighten warped parts to print specifications
Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists safely and efficiently
Set up and operate equipment following all safety guidelines
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and QC packets to ensure accuracy
Make necessary machine adjustments to maintain continuous production of quality parts
What's Needed?
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Six months to one year of related experience or training
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals
Proficiency with measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
Ability to work with mathematical concepts including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
Forklift experience required
