About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Senior Supply Chain Clerk - Shipping & Receiving to support daily logistics operations at our Northville, MI facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant movement of materials both domestically and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail for the campus
Prepare shipping documentation for domestic and international shipments
Package, box, and prepare parts for shipment
Coordinate same-day local deliveries and off-site storage shipments
Maintain accurate records, shipping documentation, and data entry in SAP
Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness
Receive packages and promptly notify recipients
Monitor and maintain inventory of packaging materials
Control and track transportation costs
Ensure a safe, clean, and organized shipping/receiving area
Operate material handling equipment (Hi-Lo / forklift)
Act as a logistics resource for site-specific shipping processes and providers
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous shipping & receiving or logistics experience preferred
Experience with SAP or similar systems is a plus
Forklift (Hi-Lo) operation experience required or willingness to train
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs regularly
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Certifications & Training
- RCRA, DOT, and Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) training required (or ability to obtain)
Work Environment & Expectations
Fast-paced warehouse and shipping environment
Requires standing, lifting, and physical activity throughout the shift
Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required
Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
