Description
Job Purpose:
The Web Rolltender is responsible for changing rolls and hanging plates. The Web Rolltender also assists operators with various tasks to facilitate the printing process.
Duties:
Accurately print job tickets, gather necessary equipment, and report paper usage.
Set up paper, plates, rollers, and guides efficiently and safely.
Operate and adjust press stackers.
Web up the press.
Repair damaged rolls and ensure correct ink supply, maintaining fountain solution chemicals.
Perform folding, trimming, and quality checks.
Stack and organize finished products.
Maintain a clean work environment, cleaning ink fountains and rollers as required.
Assist operators as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow work instructions, job tickets, safety rules, and ship reports accurately.
Ability to write basic correspondence through email or on paper to fellow employees and supervisors.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, use a ruler and calculator, and count.
Effective verbal communication.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
Qualifications
All applicants must have: Mechanical aptitude, able to follow written and verbal instructions, demonstrate, excellent attention to detail and complete minor equipment repairs.

(X) Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 60 pounds of force
frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
