Auto Cast is seeking an Inside Sales Coordinator to join our elite team! Accelerate your career in a high-impact role driving growth for a premier zinc and aluminum die casting operation. You will lead sales initiatives, capture new business, and steer programs from initial quote to final PPAP and launch. Acting as the critical bridge between premium clients, engineering, and manufacturing, you will manage metal market strategies and own the entire product lifecycle. This position offers true ownership to shape business strategy, optimize financial performance, and deliver engineered solutions to top-tier industrial sectors.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, collaborate and oversee sales teams as necessary.
- Develops a marketing plan and seeks new leads or sales opportunities using cold calls/emails and leads follow-ups to ensure future growth
- Handling all relevant processes for current and potential customers and projects including pre-cost estimates, tracking RFQ’s, approving quotes to customers, developing and maintaining sales contracts, approving tooling invoices and issuing tooling POs, as well as program wind down.
- Maintaining communication with customers to understand their needs or requirements and identifying sales opportunities. This position will act as a contact for sales questions, issues or concerns including commercial issues and elevated Quality Assurance concerns.
- Documenting and maintaining all data relevant to the position, including accounts list, relevant customer records, contracts, sales history, metal purchase and use, costs and monitoring of metal market and costs.
- Maintain and review metal market continually for costs relevant to pre-cost estimating and piece price reviews. Position may be involved in or assist with purchase process for metal and gas.
- Assist with new program implementation including assigning program responsibilities, coordination with engineering and manufacturing to ensure that tooling is within quoted costs and assisting production with problem solving issues which arise during PPAP and launch.
- Search for continuous improvement in all areas
- Any other duties that may be assigned by management
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years sales experience required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, active listening skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to quickly and effectively solve problems that may arise, making informed decisions with foresight to seek guidance when necessary.
- Computer and software knowledge, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Local travel required (1 day/week average). Valid driver’s license and own transportation required.
- Preferred: individuals with Zinc and Aluminum die casting knowledge, as well as tooling knowledge.
