The Maintenance Specialist - Paint Shop is responsible for the development, standardization, deployment, and continuous improvement of maintenance practices for paint equipment across Stellantis manufacturing operations. The role ensures the effective application of the Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) within maintenance processes by supporting CMMS optimization, preventive and autonomous maintenance strategies, equipment reliability, quality system integration, and maintenance skill development, while respecting established plant labor agreements and boundaries.
The Paint Central Maintenance Planning Lead is responsible for establishing, standardizing, and continuously improving maintenance planning strategies across Stellantis manufacturing operations. This role ensures effective deployment and optimization of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, governance of maintenance data within CMMS system, and alignment with Stellantis Maintenance Domain and Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) standards.
The position plays a critical role in driving equipment reliability, reducing breakdowns, and improving maintenance performance through standardized processes, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration across plants and regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Support a safe working environment by embedding safety requirements into maintenance standards
Develop and standardize preventive maintenance (PM) strategies, SMPs, and planning processes across paint operations
Govern CMMS systems, ensuring accurate asset structure, work order standards, and data integrity
Optimize PM and predictive maintenance using reliability data (MTBF, MTTR) and support transition to condition-based maintenance (CBM)
Monitor maintenance KPIs and lead root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement using PDCA
Partner with plant teams, engineering, and suppliers to drive alignment, governance, and best practice sharing
Support SIS audits, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and lead gap identification with defined action plans
Works with the academy to develop maintenance training modules
Provide technical guidance, support training, and ensure consistent implementation of maintenance standards
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field or 9 years of paint shop experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in maintenance or manufacturing operations
Experience with maintenance procedures for paint (Phosphate, Ecoat, Powder, Sealer, Robotics, PLC, Controls)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing
Knowledge of predictive maintenance practices
Ability to travel and work weekends/holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering or related field
10 years of relevant experience
CMMS knowledge
Lean/SIS experience
Data/analytics tools experience (Power BI, etc.)
