Requires Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field & 2 yrs experience selecting & analyzing critical mechanical components; reviewing & rationalizing designs in context of cost, schedule & risk; defining product tests; estimating cost of proposed designs, including material cost & development; reviewing & approving application deviation requests; reviewing dimensioning & tolerancing strategies for new designs; defining new product specifications & rationalizations; developing rotational & linear motion mechanisms; implementing design & engineering of active drive train components, including gears, bearings, and levers; utilizing Mathcad, MATLAB, & ANSYS to complete robot component, system force, and moment and stress analysis. Will accept Bachelor’s degree in stated fields & 5 yrs progressive, post-Bachelor’s stated experience. Up to 10% U.S. and int’l travel req’d.
