Programmer 5 – .NET / Angular Developer
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid – 2 days onsite/week)
Rate: $70.93/hr (1099)

The State of Michigan is seeking an experienced Programmer 5 to support the Remediation Information Data Exchange (RIDE) application for the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE). RIDE is a critical enterprise application supporting environmental remediation and redevelopment programs regulated under Michigan environmental law.
The application enables regulated entities to electronically submit documentation related to contaminated properties, environmental remediation activities, and state-funded projects. The platform also supports public transparency initiatives through the Inventory of Facilities (IOF), providing access to remediation-related program information and statistics.
The selected candidate will support full-stack development, application enhancements, testing, database development, and ongoing modernization efforts within a Microsoft technology environment.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web applications and supporting databases.

Develop and maintain SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and SSIS packages.

Build and enhance responsive web applications using .NET technologies and Angular.

Participate in system analysis, debugging, defect resolution, and performance optimization.

Support unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and automated testing activities.

Collaborate with technical teams, business users, and project stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Ensure compliance with ADA accessibility standards and responsive web design best practices.

Support source control, deployment, and development lifecycle activities using Visual Studio, Git/TFS, and related Microsoft technologies.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

4+ years of experience with:
-
SQL development including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and SSIS packages
-
C#.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, XML, AJAX, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and T-SQL
-
Structured programming, object-oriented programming, relational databases, and responsive web development
-
Unit testing, regression testing, system testing, and automated testing
-
MS Visual Studio, MS Team Foundation Server (TFS)/Git, MS Office Suite, and MS SharePoint

1+ year of experience with:

Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
