Join Our Team at Jenison Public Schools - Custodial Lead
2nd Shift | Full-Time | $16.50/hour
Are you someone who leads by example and takes pride in a job well done? We're looking for a dependable working lead to support and guide our custodial team while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming school environment.
This is a hands-on role; you'll be working alongside your team, setting the standard, and helping others succeed.
What You'll Do
Lead by example by actively performing cleaning duties alongside your team
Support, guide, and hold team members accountable to daily cleaning standards
Help organize workloads and adjust tasks based on building needs
Train and coach team members to improve performance and consistency
Inspect work to ensure quality and attention to detail
Communicate with supervisors and staff to keep operations running smoothly
Assist with securing the building at the end of shift
What We're Looking For
Strong work ethic and reliability - you show up and get it done
Natural leadership mindset (you don't need a title to lead)
Willingness to step in and do any task, including cleaning
Attention to detail and ability to stay organized
Ability to motivate others and maintain standards
Custodial or leadership experience is a plus, but not required
