Production Manager (Detroit, MI, or other unanticipated locations throughout U.S.). Responsibilities include: Update and develop consistent standard costs for each product and machine across North America. Conduct time/delay studies on machines and operators. Participate in the annual budgeting process. Assist in development of plant operational metrics (i.e., OEE, OT tracking vs. budget, etc.). Create and implement Lean Manufacturing techniques including standardized work instructions, operator balance, manning levels, indirect labor studies, efficiency and waste analysis, plant material flow and layouts, downtime pareto analysis, A3 problem solving techniques including root cause and 5-why analysis, and visual factory tool to communicate shop performance. Implement new masking and tooling developments. Apply and use automotive core tools: PFMEA, CP, MSA, SPC, APQP. ElcoMaster, electrostatic paint system, coating operations, BIQS, Solid Works, CQI-12, paint Coating knowledge (ASTM-B499, ASTM 3359, ASTM D5201), Zinc Phosphate testing knowledge.
