Description
We are looking for a dependable PART TIME Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations for a non-profit organization in Michigan. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping administrative tasks organized, providing courteous front-office support, and handling a variety of office duties effectively. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to a collaborative workplace by managing communication, maintaining accurate records, and assisting staff with day-to-day operational needs. Days: Monday-Thursday: Hours 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. 100% onsite.
Responsibilities:
Welcome visitors and provide attentive front-desk support while creating a positive and organized office environment.
Answer incoming phone calls, direct inquiries to the appropriate staff members, and relay messages accurately and promptly.
Enter, update, and maintain information in office systems with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
Assist with general administrative work such as filing, document preparation, scheduling, and routine correspondence.
Support department staff with day-to-day office tasks to help keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Monitor office needs and assist with additional clerical or business-related duties as assigned in a detail-focused setting.
Maintain orderly records and help ensure materials and information are accessible to the appropriate team members.
Requirements - Previous experience in administrative support, receptionist work, or office assistance is helpful but not required.
Ability to manage inbound calls effectively and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and external contacts.
Strong data entry skills with careful attention to detail and accuracy.
Comfort working in a business or office environment with dependable attendance and a detail-oriented demeanor.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a structured setting.
Capability to perform physical activities associated with office work, including walking, standing, bending, and lifting materials weighing up to 45 pounds.
