QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education or related Human Services field required. Experience in lieu of education may be considered. MCBAP Prevention Specialist Certification required or must be obtained within two years. Knowledge of substance use disorders preferred. Experience working with grant funding, training, data-driven decision making, coaching, and public speaking preferred.
STATUS/HOURS: Competitive Wage, plus full-time benefits. Regular full-time/80 hours biweekly
SALARY RANGE: $63,169.60 to $85,280.00. Starting salary will be determined based on education, certifications, and experience.
LOCATION: Marquette, Michigan - Many positions offer a hybrid work schedule with supervisor approval.
ABOUT US: NorthCare Network is a Specialty Prepaid Inpatient Health Plan (PIHP) located in Marquette, Michigan and is responsible for the management and service array available to residents of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula with behavioral health needs covered by Michigan Medicaid and specialty grants for substance use disorder services.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Under the supervision of the SUD Services Director, the SUD Prevention Services Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing the annual substance use disorder prevention services plan for NorthCare Network, subject to Board review and approval. This position oversees the plan implementation for SUD prevention services for the region, working collaboratively with providers to coordinate services. This position provides assistance with annual requests for quotation, review of submitted requests, evaluation of the submitted proposals, and with contract awards. This position is responsible for ongoing monitoring of SUD prevention services to ensure that regulatory standards are followed. This position also provides contract monitoring and technical assistance to contract agencies. The SUD Prevention Services Coordinator participates in state, regional, and local multi-agency collaborative bodies, meetings, and initiatives. This position participates in the annual provider site review process and submits required reports. This position also assists with processing provider invoices and/or claims and related reports.
