Workforce Management Technical Engineer - Senior
Overview / Summary
We are seeking a Senior Workforce Management Technical Engineer to support a large-scale workforce management modernization initiative supporting 55,000+ employees across the US and Canada. This is a hands-on technical role focused on workforce management platform configuration, data engineering, systems integration, and enterprise timekeeping solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience configuring enterprise workforce management platforms, building ETL pipelines, managing integrations, and translating complex labor rules into automated system logic.
This is a hybrid onsite role located in Dearborn, MI, requiring onsite presence a minimum of 4 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Configure and support enterprise workforce management platforms including Time & Attendance, Scheduling, and Absence Management modules
Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines and API integrations
Manage data exchanges using APIs, flat files, and XML
Translate complex business and labor requirements into technical system configurations and automated calculations
Support system administration, platform governance, security roles, and environment stability
Lead technical validation of software patches and version upgrades
Build advanced SQL reports and data models to identify labor cost trends, compliance risks, and operational efficiencies
Collaborate within Agile/Jira development environments
Ensure data integrity between workforce management, payroll, HR, and finance systems
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
10+ years of IT experience supporting large-scale enterprise programs
Hands-on experience configuring and administering enterprise Workforce Management (WFM) platforms
Experience supporting large employee populations (10,000+ employees)
Strong experience with workforce management platforms such as WorkForce Software (preferred), UKG/Kronos, Ceridian Dayforce, or SAP SuccessFactors
Advanced SQL skills and experience developing ETL pipelines
Experience with systems integration using APIs, REST/SOAP services, flat files, and XML
Strong understanding of data integrity and HR/payroll system integrations
Experience working with union work rules, rotating shifts, and manufacturing scheduling environments
Familiarity with US and Canadian labor regulations and their application within timekeeping systems
Experience working in Agile/Jira environments
Strong technical configuration and back-end system management experience
Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience with WorkForce Software (WFS)
Experience with cloud-based data tools such as Google Cloud Platform or BigQuery
Experience within automotive or high-volume industrial environments
