Our client, a leading construction and mechanical services provider, is seeking a Lead (Pipefitting & Plumbing) to join their team. As a Lead, you will be part of the field operations team supporting project execution and jobsite coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, leadership ability, and a commitment to safety and quality, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Lead
Location: Grand Rapids, MI (and surrounding areas)
Pay Range: $30-$36/hr (based on experience)
What's the Job?
Support planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects while assisting Foremen, Senior Leads, and Project Managers
Lead field activities on smaller jobs or assist on larger projects, ensuring work is completed safely and on schedule
Review plans, specifications, and shop drawings; help develop work plans and material lists
Maintain jobsite organization, tool accountability, and proper equipment usage
Communicate progress, issues, and updates while maintaining daily reports and documentation
What's Needed?
2-4+ years of field experience in construction or a crew lead role
Strong understanding of construction drawings, layouts, and jobsite execution
OSHA 30 certification required
Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles if needed
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
