Qualifications
- Prior experience in home health care, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or long-term care environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, catheter care, hospice support, and dementia or Alzheimer's care is essential.
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or medication administration are a plus.
- Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans; excellent communication skills are necessary for effective patient interaction.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is desirable.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes; ability to adapt quickly to new technology platforms.
