Packaging Associate Job Responsibilities As a Heavy Industrial Packaging Associate, you will:
- Build custom skids and industrial packaging materials
- Band and secure heavy steel coils
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely
- Weigh and tag inventory using computer software
- Read work instructions and production paperwork
- Perform basic math calculations including fractions and decimals
- Maintain a clean and safety-focused work environment
- Lift and move materials up to 75 lbs
This is an active, hands-on manufacturing position requiring focus, reliability, and attention to detail.
Manufacturing Job Requirements To qualify for this Packaging Associate position, candidates should have:
- At least 1 year of manufacturing or warehouse experience
- Forklift experience preferred
- Overhead crane experience preferred
- Reliable transportation to Wixom, MI
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Strong attendance and job stability
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly
- Basic computer and inventory tracking skills
